These prestigious universities recently partnered together to do a study on what is referred to as the “Gap Year Philosophy.” A gap year is a prolonged period of time (typically a year or two) between important life stages, most commonly between high school and college.

These recent studies show us that youth and young adults that take a productive gap-year are far more likely to reach overall success during their college careers and beyond.
